Google Ads MCP
Personal Project
About the Project
Google Ads MCP is a Model Context Protocol server I built to put Google Ads under AI control. Once it's connected, Claude Code (or any MCP-compatible integration) can pull performance reports, build campaigns and ad groups, write responsive search ads, manage keywords and negatives, and flip statuses — the day-to-day work of running an ads account, driven by plain language.
I manage paid search for real clients, so this isn't automation for automation's sake. It's the short-term lever in my marketing framework (ads now, SEO compounding behind it) with the busywork stripped out. Instead of clicking through the Ads interface to pause underperformers or launch a new campaign structure, I describe the change and the MCP executes it against the Google Ads API.
The economics are the part I'm proudest of. The whole thing runs on a small cloud server that costs roughly $20 a month at the high end, and if you use it conservatively it runs for less than $5 a month. That's a full AI ads-management layer for less than the cost of a single management tool subscription.
